REMO, OGUN STATE — The legislative representation of Hon. Dr. Princess Adesola Ayoola Elegbeji in the 10th House of Representatives is being highlighted through a series of infrastructure, education, healthcare, electricity and empowerment initiatives across Remo Federal Constituency, comprising Ikenne, Sagamu and Remo North Local Government Areas of Ogun State.
Under the banner, “A Legacy That Cannot Be Forgotten in Remo Federal Constituency,” a performance summary attributed to the federal lawmaker lists more than 11 projects and interventions within nine months, with over 25,000 lives reportedly impacted.
The initiatives outlined in the summary span community infrastructure, rural electrification, healthcare delivery, educational support, legislative activities and economic empowerment, reflecting key areas of public need across the constituency.
Infrastructure Development: Roads and Solar Street Lights
One of the highlighted interventions is the provision of solar-powered street lights in Ikenne and Iperu, an initiative aimed at improving illumination in public spaces and residential communities.
Improved street lighting can enhance visibility at night, support commercial activities and contribute to residents’ sense of security. The intervention is particularly relevant to communities seeking practical improvements to their everyday environment.
The project summary also lists road construction works along the Igbolo Road and Ewu-Oluwo Road in Sagamu, with the latter described as a one-kilometre road project incorporating drainage.
Road infrastructure remains important to the movement of people and goods, access to markets and public services, and the general development of communities. Where effectively executed and maintained, road and drainage improvements can also help address mobility challenges and reduce the impact of water runoff.
Another listed intervention is the rehabilitation of Ajaka Powerline, Shoyindo Road and Goriola Odunukan Street. These projects form part of the infrastructure-related activities highlighted in the lawmaker’s performance summary.
