Jema'a LG Chair Hails Gov Uba Sani’s People-Centric 2025 Budget

By Israel Bulus, Kaduna

The Chairman of Jema’a Local Government Area, Hon. Peter Tanko Dogara, has praised Kaduna State Governor Sen. Uba Sani for presenting a people-focused and development-driven 2025 budget, describing it as a plan that speaks directly to the needs of citizens.

Reacting to the nearly ₦1 trillion Appropriation Bill, the largest in the state’s history, Dogara said the budget rekindles hope, particularly in rural communities long challenged by insecurity, poor infrastructure, and limited access to essential services.

“Every budget carries a story. This one speaks about the people,” Dogara said. He commended the governor’s growing internally generated revenue, which has made such a comprehensive budget possible.

He noted that the emphasis on agriculture, security, education, healthcare, and infrastructure aligns closely with his own 5-point development agenda for Jema’a, which prioritises primary healthcare, basic education, empowerment and agriculture, security, and investment.

“The intention behind the figures is what matters most to me as Chairman of Jema’a. These reflect the everyday needs of our people,” Dogara said.

“I am happy that the budget is bringing hope for our people and Kaduna State in general.”

Dogara pledged to advocate for increased allocations to Jema’a Local Government, stressing that the council would ensure that approved funds directly benefit citizens.

“As chairman, I will do everything possible to push for more funds for the good of my people. When the budget is passed, we shall ensure that the people benefit. That, to me, is what leadership is all about,” he added.

The 2025 budget, themed “Sustainable Growth and Shared Prosperity,” prioritises security operations, rural roads, agricultural value chains, and social services, areas considered critical to economic stability and citizen well-being.
